About

Dale joined Mensa in his 20s in NYC, and lived in the Village near five jazz clubs where he heard world-class musicians. Took his love of jazz to Roswell NM, where he wrote a 14-page spreadsheet showing venues where 30 musicians performed at the annual Roswell Jazz Festival.He was a rock climbing instructor on the east coast, led a Wyoming trip to climb the Grand Teton via the Exum Route, and led a Canadian trip to climb 12 Bugaboo Spires; moved to Denver, climbed 35 14,000-foot peaks in Colorado.Dale worked and lived in Europe, birded on vacations in Bavaria, Gibraltar, the Outer Hebrides, and the UK. Birding continued in Alaska where he became President of the Anchorage Audubon Society, and edited its Field Guide to the Whales.He was granted Top Secret/SCI/Code Word clearance while working at Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories, and honing his skills as a technical writer.And he's not done yet! Adding to "a life well lived" (as a friend describes me), Dale has enrolled in the Freelance Grant Writers Academy. He's finding funds for nonprofits, mostly in these spaces: Animals, Birds, and Ecology.And now, he's the Founder of the Roswell Ai User Group (short URL RoswellAi.org, working with ENMU-R to co-host an AI Learning Forum.Fun Facts: For five years, Dale and his wonderful Zookeeper wife Laney lived in an Earthship that they helped design and build. She hand-raised a Great Horned Owl and Mountain Lion cubs in their home, and now does in-your-home dog training as Sundog Training.
